SLO:

I had originally planned on making a trip to SLO a while ago but obviously that didn't happen yet. Sometime in the next few weeks though I will probably take a trip to San Francisco so I could combine that trip with SLO.

Dirty Crimes Prototype Art:

So I am finally beginning on the art for our game this fall, only a few quarters behind. I had originally intended on using real photographs, but it is going to be too hard to get full access to a crappy motel to take pictures of without actually spending some money staying at one. Instead I took a google sketchup model of a hotel, trashed it up a bit, and am working on taking shots of it and importing it into photoshop. The first trials is below.

Since I can't get anything close to photorealism with sketchup, I am trying a very stylized look based on old black an white mac games. The screen below is from Deja Vu, a game that inspired this projects first attempt years ago.

Leave any notes you feel like in the comments. Also, I need a way to create and represent characters in this world, and I currently have no idea how they should look, so shoot me ideas about that too.
