projecta de la computadora:
Seth what do you think of multiple playable characters within the same events? Not switching during it but like options as to which person to play as.

do you live in fear of a computer? I do:
I can't set up my computer, if I heroes of might and magic will come and take away my whole day. It's not evne that great a game it's just the idea of doing nothing all day that I think is so appealing. Good thing school starts thursday; and the rent starts coming to attack me.

Emily Haines:
If anyone is up for seeing emily hainestonight at 8:30 in LA with me give me a call. I have an extra ticket and would like to not go alone. I'm not sure where I am going after there, maybe San Diego again, maybe back to SLO. Depends on how tired I am. Noel, your post will come back in a bit, I never meant for it to be gone as long as it has.

Site Updates:
I did these a few days ago, but the links weren't changed yet, basically there are new forums, which are totally different from the old system and should be resistant to the spam bots. The maps section is gone because no one really cares about those maps anymore and I probably won't be making any more. The mail link now goes to a better web-based mail program, which I hope people like, if not tell me and Ill try something else. If you need an e-mail address with a cool domain name, give me a mail and Ill give you one. Photos has been added and links to a gallery of some of my photos, which I hope to update with some new photos from this last trip once I return to SLO. Finally I am reminding myself that Regina Spektor is having concerts on: 10-29 San Francisco, CA - The Fillmore 11-02 Los Angeles, CA - Avalon 11-05 San Diego, CA - Cane's and I should go to one of them.

All about Wii:
Also, in case you haven't been reading the links above from gamespot, here is what is going on with the Nintendo Wii: Release Nov 19th for $250 with a controller, analog stick attachment, Wii Sports game with important things like boxing and tennis, and a Wii. Wii will be region free in theory, meaning you can play games from japan without trouble. Wii cannot play DVD's Wii will have 512mb of storage internal, and use standard SDCards for additional Wii storage, just like a digital camera. This means you dont need to buy anything other than the box to fully play somethign, it comes with all you need to play Wii sports until you drop. If only there were 2 controllers included it would be perfect, but you can get one separate and you will still be spending less than a 360 without hard drive, which can't even save games and has no included game. Wii costs so little to make that they are already making a profit on the console at launch. Code written for Gamecube (read - game engines) run with minimal porting as it is essentially a faster gamecube in terms of hardware, meaning that people already used to developing for GCN can switch over and develop games at about the same cost and simply upgrade tech, making Wii games about 50% the cost of 360/PS3 games, in theory. Also, since the hardware is really just an upgrade, 100% GCN backward compatibility. Also virtual console launches with the Wii with (This is translated from Yen so might be false) NES games at $5, SNES at $8 and N64 at $10. This is a great deal as long as I can back them up or the fact that I bought it is stored in my profile like steam. Then there is little reason to go buy the real copies as NES games cost about $5 in real life, and that is without shipping. If every SNES game they have is $8 (and why not, it costs nothing to make copies of a digital download) I will go insane because I can finally get Super Mario All Stars and Super Metriod without spending $25 each. The only realy downer here is that the online mode is not launching iwth the system really, as no online games are going to be happening at release. I hope they fix that soon, as its the only thing other than useless HD support that Xbox 360 has over them. Somehow I it worries me that I have so little to say about this trip I am on, but so much to say about the Wii.

Lone Pine:
So right now I am in a hotel with Fred in Lone Pine. This is the little town at the bottom of Mt. Whitney, which is all snowy at the top. lll have a picture for the internet to see in a while. We are visiting the Potato Person guy for his retirement. What is amazing is how much talking about visits to the doctor takes over peoples lives after ~50 years. Last night they just wouldn't stop. I think that about does it, at least I posted!

So I'm heading out to SLO, not sure what day but it shall happen. Going to val's just didn't work out for us I guess, however there are other breaks with which we could go visit Valere. So it's time to have pirate night (rum and rackets!) with jack scallion, superseth, and hopefully el diablo! If pirate night occurs I promise to make pictures come.
