well its now less than 2 hours till the new year, and im sitting at home talking on aim, watching my finger bleed, and wondering if its good that this year is finally over, or bad that a new one is coming with promise of just as much poinltessness as this one. perhaps i should not watch Blade Runner late at night without company......

i forgot, the maps page has been messed up for like a month, ill fix that later this break, but while you wait, go download memoria.pk3 from here and tell me what you think, its my first quake 3 map ever, just toss it in your baseq3 folder and type /map memoria in the console. sorry no bot file yet.

last night sarah and i had great hunger so we stopped by VONS on the way home to get a pizza and some cheese pills. Out of frustration with my indecision, she beat me with the pizza in public, though that is not the point of this tale.

the point is that on the way home i was like, what if my parents made pizzia tonight???? and we we go there they had. it was one of those amazing seth moments for everyone.

So i went looking and found my windows 98 cd in the garage. after a brief install and then endless messing with drivers and irq's i got the silly thing booting correctly on my pc. Now with a running pc again, i am amazed that anyone ever called win98 a useable operating system. I thought os 9 was bad, my god this computer (im on it now) had to have the worst user interface and frequent crashes ever. seriously, and this is a polished version of 95. scary. it plays mp3' and music vids, and my mac can't run HL and it can, so there is something going for it i guess, but i can't wait till i get my hands on a copy of XP again. im almost tempted to go pay money for it there is such a difference.

so, last weekend....

fri: i sat around during lunch as watched the end of battle of the bands, some good groups, then went to sarahs. there i found her half awake mumbling about going some place so we got in the car and left her house. 10 mintues later we were on 101 and silly her still has no idea where she wanted to go so i just drove till we ended up in oceanside, where we went to thift stores and the beach. excitement. Then i saw Bowling for Columbine, very good as i was promised, after which we go pic up stix and went to sarahs to watch donnie darko. which confused me and put sarah to sleep (im sure it had nothing to do with her not sleeping the night before).

sat: i sat on my ass till about 2 when david showed up, we setup a 486 and played QFG4 for a while till greg showe up, then we played magic for a while while watching richard simmons and the meaning of life. after that we were supposed to meet kyle at the mocha but he didn't show so we just played a few more magic games.

sun: very not good evil painful nasty gov essay that i didn't not and still do not understand, until sarah came an forced me away to santee and the dark room, even though it pained me greatly. while in santee we went to music trader and purchased some gin blossums and a wallflowers cd. not that exciting, but at $2 a pop its was hard to pass. BTW they have ACE OF BASE there and i really wanna get like 77574584 copies of THE BRIDGE.

OK so my host/server renewed my account , (THIS SITE IS YEAR OLD!) but forgot to register my domain or it wasn't automatic so i had to get it all over again and it was a great baddness but its finally back i think i have e-mail agian and there is just endless happiness over here!!!!!! expecpt that i have an essay to go finish for government that is a bitch, but a blog update could just not wait, tomarrow ill fill it in for all the stuff i did this weekend

Ahhh I am so damn tired, I don't know why. Oh well tomarrow is a late start day so im putting off all HW till then, tonight is just sleep and reading Stranger in a Strange Land for the first time since i was a young lad. i am finding i "grok" it a bit better than the last time i read it and this unedited copy is nice. i am dreaming up a slight change to the site, perhaps buffing the alice section up to include some info on the real alice that i have collecting dust on my hard drive, along with cleaning up the utter mess that is the alice editing site. With Rouge Entertainment gone, i don't see anything happening with the game in the future (other than it remaining one of the best games).
